Macao, China? This town use to be a Portuguese colony and people there still talk their language. This city is considered to be like a little "Las Vegas" of China. People come here to spend money, especially because you don't need to have a visa to come here, or at least you didn’t need one back when I was there, in 1985. Macao is also important for it’s port, because lot of ships start their commercial routes from here. I really don't know if it is a place to come and see it, if you are around maybe, but travel all the way from Europe or USA, I doubt it if it is worth it.
